Milkweed Garden - Monarch Certified Waystation - A few years ago we made a milkweed garden to given monarch butterflies a habitat. This year we raised money and to certify the garden a Monarch Certified Waystation.
Learning about Composting and building composters - students add food scraps from the cafeteria each meeting or during Stem class. Students will add the soil to our native gardens in the spring.
UpCycle Project - Students used old dictionaries and buttons to create Holiday Ornaments.
Eco-Friendly reading program - Students are practicing reading eco-friendly books that they will read to Tyrone students during the month of March to promote how to take care of our earth and be environmental stewards.
Recycling Plastic bags - Students learned about how plastic bags are bad for our environment in STEM class. Students thought of creative ways to reuse the bags.
Making Reusable Bags - Green Team members learn about how plastic bags are bad for our environment through stories and video. Students then designed reusable bags to use in
